  • Michael Wirth Returns to North Iowa as Waldorf University's Head Men's Basketball Coach

    Waldorf University is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Wirth as Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Originally from Thompson, Iowa and a graduate of North Iowa High School in Buffalo Center, Iowa, Wirth returns to North Iowa from Arizona where he spent the last 23 years teaching and coaching basketball at various levels. Wirth helped form the Arizona Basketball Coaches Association and facilitated the association’s coaching clinic for multiple years, developing relationships with high school and college coaches. Most recently, he served as founder and Director of 3D Hoops Club program and Director of Basketball Operations for Iron Country Basketball Training and Performance Center.

  • Department of Education Approves Waldorf University for Nonprofit Status

    Waldorf University is proud to announce that the U.S. Department of Education has approved Waldorf’s request to convert to nonprofit status. This is the final step of the process since the Higher Learning Commission, the IRS, and the State of Iowa had previously approved the Change in Ownership.

  • Waldorf University celebrates two major gifts from William (Bill) 1958 & Mary (Carlson) Johnson 1958

    Waldorf University received two significant gifts from Bill and Mary Johnson totaling over $2.5 million. To honor their generosity and to celebrate a lifetime of love for Waldorf University, William (Bill) 1958 and Mary (Carlson) 1958 Johnson are honored with the 2024 C.S. Salveson Award. A celebration will occur on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in the Waldorf Atrium.

    Waldorf University is excited to announce the dedication of the Bolstorff and Beebe Gateway on Saturday, October 5, at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will take place at Bolstorff Field/Beebe Track, with Boman Auditorium as the rain location.
