Waldorf University is a proud Preferred Learning Partner of the Air Force Sergeants Association and offers AFSA members several scholarships to assist our service men and women with their higher education goals.

Waldorf/AFSA Scholarships:

  • AFSA One Course Scholarship
    • AFSA members who renew their AFSA membership are eligible for a no-cost course at Waldorf University. For more information call 877.267.2157.
  • AFSA Airmen of the Year Scholarship
    • The AFSA Airmen of the Year Scholarship is awarded annually to an AFSA member who has shown excellence in their field. This scholarship opens on April 1 and closes on May 31. Applications are submitted directly to AFSA for consideration and selection of the recipient. 
  • Standard Tuition Discount
    • As a Waldorf University Partner, AFSA members are eligible for a 15% off tuition discount.  

  • Air National Guard Academic Excellence Scholarship

  • The Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) is offering the Air National Guard Academic Excellence Scholarship through Waldorf University. The Scholarship is presented to an individual who not only demonstrates leadership qualities in their current performance of duty, but also shows great potential for increased leadership roles. In addition, the individual is dedicated to continuous self- improvement, developing others, service to base and community.

    The Air National Guard Academic Excellence Scholarship, through Waldorf University, valued at an estimate of $24,600/60 hours, can be used towards an associate, bachelor or master's degree.

     

    CRITERIA:

    1. Enlisted Service Member
    2. Eligible to attend college
    3. Each State/Wing may nominate one Enlisted service member

     

    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Official Bio
    2. Letter of Recommendation signed by Wing Commander
    3. Essay on: Goals and Aspirations to include:
      • Current performance of duty
      • Potential for increased leadership roles
      • Improvements of self and others
      • Base and community involvement
    • 2 pages minimum, 3 pages maximum not including title page

    (title page only includes name, Directorate/Wing and date)

    • 12-point font
    • Double spaced

    Suspense date for scholarship is 15 June, 2023.
