Anna Longhenry: Lions Club Sportsmanship Award

Longhenry, a senior from Fenton, Iowa, was a constant on the volleyball court during her four years at Waldorf. She averaged 2.16 kills per set, etching her name in the Warrior Volleyball record books as the 10th highest in the four-year era. With 199 career blocks, she also breaks her own record, moving up to the 6th place spot. With .65 blocks per set in her career, she lands herself in 6th place and is 9th in career attacks per set with 6.33. She earned All-GPAC Honorable Mention her junior year and All-GPAC 2nd Team her senior year, making her the team's first 2x GPAC All-Conference recipient.

Fisher Nagel: Lions Club Sportsmanship Award

Nagel, a senior on the shooting sports team, consistently scores in 80s and 90s in each event he competes in. His scores earn him high overall scores and keep Waldorf in competition for high overall against other schools. He is also a 3x Champions of Character for his team.

The Lions Club Award is presented to a student-athlete that best exemplifies sportsmanship not only on and off the playing field, but who is a solid student who meets the Champions of Character five core values: Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.

AJ Toulouse: Waldorf University's nominee for Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award

Toulouse, a senior from Marshall, Minnesota, is a five-year Warrior, a 3x Champion of Character for this team, and an NAIA Scholar Athlete. He showcases his hard work and natural leadership both on and off the baseball field. He is an ultimate team player and brings his best everyday to practice, weights, and gameday whether he's in the lineup or not. He is a high character person who holds his team accountable.

Each year, Waldorf University nominates a student-athlete for the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character award, which recognizes a student-athlete who excels academically, athletically, and embraces the core values of Champions of Character. It is one of the most prestigious awards in the NAIA. The GPAC will collect nominations from its schools to choose the GPAC nominee for consideration at the NAIA.

Eliza McKown: Waldorf Athletics Honor Athlete

McKown, a senior from Orono, Minnesota, is no stranger to the track and field national stage. Last year, she qualified for both indoor and outdoor NAIA Nationals. So far this year, she finished the GPAC Championships as an event champion All-GPAC in the 800m. She not only qualified for NAIA Indoor Nationals but also returned home an All-American in the 800m. She recorded fast times in her cross country seasons and has been her team's Champions of Character selection twice. Her year isn't over though as she continues in this outdoor season and will travel to NAIA Outdoor Nationals after qualifying in the 800m with a time of 2:13.04.

Christian Gerot: Waldorf Athletics Honor Athlete

Gerot, a senior from Columbus Junction, Iowa, has been with the Warriors for five years and is a staple on the football field. He finished this season with 66 tackles for an average of 6.6 per game. He received All Conference Honorable Mention in the GPAC for the 2025 season. Also a team captain, his leadership translated from the football field into the strength center where he currently serves as a strength and conditioning coach with Cutting Edge Fitness, building up other Waldorf teams to their strongest potential.

The Waldorf Honor Athlete Award has been in place for more than 50 years. It honors not only one of our top student-athletes, but also a solid student, a person of honor, and respected by his or her peers.

The Cheer Team was awarded the 2025-2026 Team Community Service Award, which is awarded to one team each year for exceptional service and going above and beyond the department's expectations. The team volunteered their time at Waldorf's annual Community Night, the Iowa State Fair, Heritage Park, and countless home games, helping staff clean up.
