HASTINGS, Neb. – The Waldorf Women's Wrestling team traveled to Hastings College for the GPAC Conference Tournament on Saturday, February 28. The team finished in 4^thplace, scoring 90 points. Four wrestlers placed in the top 3 of their weight class, and three earned spots in the NAIA National Tournament.

At 103, Mackenzie Gilbert finished 2-1, placing second and qualifying for nationals. Edyn Hartman wrestled at 110 and finished 1-3 for 6^th place.

For the 131 weight-class, Neve Barragan went 4-1 and finished her last match in a decision for 3^rd place. Izzy Urban also wrestled at 131 and went 4-2 to place in 5^th. At 138, Emily Hibner ended the day 1-3 for 6^th place.

Niah Smith and Renee Miguel won the second-place spots for their weight classes. At 145, Smith went 2-1, losing her last match to the first-place wrestler by a tech fall but still winning a ticket to nationals. At 160, Miguel also went 2-1, winning her first two matches by a tech fall and a fall in 1:47 and losing to the first-place wrestler by a tech fall.

In the 207 weight-class, Skyler Bruno and Olivia Burciaga both ended the day at 2-2. Bruno fell to the third-place wrestler in 2:29, finishing in 4^th place with a trip to nationals. Burciaga won her last match for 5^th place with a fall in 1:49.

Gilbert, Smith, and Bruno head to the 4^th Annual NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship on March 13-14, 2026 in Wichita, Kan.
