FOREST CITY, Iowa – On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) released the 2025 All-Conference Women's Soccer teams. Payton Whitt and Olivia Cross received Honorable Mention recognition.
Whitt, a sophomore midfielder from Gillette, Wyoming, started in all 17 games this season and finished with one goal.
Coach Thomas Goodman said, "I'm incredibly proud of the growth and impact Payton Whitthas made in just her two seasons at Waldorf. She arrived as an outside defender, transitioned into the 6 role this year, and—because of our limited roster—ended up playing nearly every position on the field. No matter where she was placed, she competed with passion, intelligence, and a team-first mentality. Even as she completes her undergraduate degree this year, Payton plans to return next season as a graduate student, and we're thrilled to have her back. Her versatility, commitment, and leadership make her an invaluable part of our program, and she will continue to play a major role in what we're building moving forward."
Cross, a senior forward from Coventry, England, started in all 17 games this season and finished with 10 goals and a shooting percentage of .303.
Coach Goodman said, "I am incredibly proud of everything Olivia Cross has accomplished during her four years at Waldorf. She has been our leading goal scorer for the past two seasons and holds the best shot-to-goal ratio and shots-on-target percentage in the entire conference. What makes her success even more impressive is that she achieved all of this while rarely playing at full health. Beyond her on-field impact, Olivia has been a vital member of the Waldorf community. She is our current Homecoming Queen, an outstanding student in the HPE major, and a positive presence in every environment she enters. Her leadership, competitiveness, and character have shaped this program in meaningful ways. Olivia will be greatly missed both on and off the field, and she leaves a legacy that will continue to influence our team for years to come."
