Waldorf University has been granted membership into the Order of the Sword & Shield, a National academic and professional Honor Society for Homeland Security, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Cyber and Information Security, and all Protective Security Disciplines. Founded in 2010, the mission of the Society promotes critical thinking, high scholarship, professional development, and enhanced ethical standards for protective security professionals.
Waldorf University’s high standards for our students are mirrored in the values expected out of the members of the Order of the Sword & Shield: excellence, knowledge, ethics, and peace. As members of Waldorf’s chapter of this National Honor Society, students will receive public recognition as an outstanding student, opportunity to participate in activities that promote student interests, opportunities to develop skills in organization-sponsored events, and life-long membership in an active organization dedicated to enhancing the profession.
