FOREST CITY, IOWA, Jan. 2, 2020 – In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., the Waldorf University Community Artist Series will host “Sing, Ebenezer!,” on Monday, Jan. 20, from 7-9 p.m. at the Boman Fine Arts Center, featuring professional performances from close family friends of the King family in Atlanta. The event is free and open to public of all ages.
Performers include: The Rev. Dr. Albert Paul Brinson (baritone), former assistant minister with the King family at Ebenezer Baptist Church; Roosevelt Andre Credit (bass-baritone), a Broadway performer; and, Sherry Dukes, international opera soprano who grew up singing at Ebenezer Church. The event is produced by composer Ben Allaway and Thresholds Creative LLC in Des Moines.
