Waldorf University Music is excited to host our Third Annual Community Masterwork Festival! This festival has been designed to offer a unique, high-quality, FREE experience to attending high school students!

Evening Concert at Boman Fine Arts Center – 7 p.M. – Featuring

  • Festival Band: Waldorf Wind Symphony, high school festival band participants, and guest instrumentalists
  • Festival Chorus: Waldorf University Choir, North Iowa Choral Society, Fort Dodge Choral Society members, high school festival choir participants, solo artists, and guest instrumentalists.

    • Band Student Check-In: Odvin Hagen Music Center Lobby (106 S. 6th Street, Forest City, Iowa)
    • Busses may park at Boman Fine Arts Center - 225 John K Hanson Dr.
  • HONOR CHOIR SCHEDULE:
    • 11 a.m.–Rehearsal #1 – Boman Auditorium
    • 12 p.m.–Lunch – Boman Mezzanine
    • 12:45 p.m.–Rehearsal #2 – Boman Auditorium
    • 2 p.m.–Choir Sectionals (S/T on Boman Stage, A/B in Mezzanine
      • 2-2:20–S/A Latin Pronunciation with Shallberg – Art Gallery
      • 2:25-2:45–T/B Latin Pronunciation with Shallberg – Art Gallery
    • 2:45 p.m.–Rehearsal #3 – Boman Auditorium
    • 3:45 p.m.–Student-Led Discussions (Choose 2-Will Rotate after 15 minutes)

      Boman Green Room: Life as a Music Major or Minor in College
      Boman Art Gallery: I’m not going to major in music, but I want to participate. Does that work
    • 4:15 p.m.–HS Choir Break (Find Holding Rooms); Guest musicians arrive
      Waldorf students help change the stage to Dvorak set-up
    • 4:30 p.m.–Choral-Orchestral-Soloist Rehearsal – Boman Auditorium Stage
    • 5:25 p.m.–Waldorf students change the stage to Wind Symphony
    • 5:30 p.m.–Dinner in Boman Mezzanine for Choir Students and Orchestra
    • 6:30 p.m.–Change into concert attire (bathrooms available on all levels of Boman)

    • 7 p.m.–Concert Begins – Boman Fine Arts Center
