Blackboard Upgrades

Beginning in 5A25 (start date 3/26/25) you will notice a new and improved Learning Management System (LMS). Waldorf has recently upgraded from Blackboard Learn Original to Blackboard Learn Ultra. Blackboard Learn Ultra is designed to be more personalized and intuitive for students and faculty, and you will be able to quickly and easily access your course content and critical information, in a cleaner, more fluid learning environment.

Students can self-enroll in an orientation course in Blackboard titled “Learn Student Orientation" located on the Institution Page within Blackboard. This orientation course is designed to help familiarize you with the new learning management system design. Please take a few minutes to explore this orientation course and ensure you understand how to access your course content, how to post discussion boards, submit assignments, and communicate with your faculty.

Faculty have access to Ultra training materials through the Faculty Development Program in Blackboard, and can find a wealth of how-to videos and training recordings on specific topics relating to Ultra.

If you have any questions about Learn Ultra, please contact the Blackboard Help Desk at https://helpdesk.waldorf.edu/shp/waldorfuhd/home or by phone at 833-506-3438. We hope you are pleased with our new learning interface and we continue to work hard to bring you the best educational experiences.
