About this Event

Waldorf University will host a Creative Writing Day for prospective students on March 14th, which will include announcing the winners of the 10th annual Top of Iowa High School Creative Writing Contest. This festival will include opportunities for students to attend a screenwriting demo, gain insight on publishing from our in-house literary magazine, and attend a reading by Waldorf’s Distinguished Visiting Writer, RS Deeren. Deeren will be reading from his debut short story collection Enough to Lose, a vivid portrait of life in rural America where hard-working families fight for survival in a home that is increasingly unrecognizable and untenable.

The winners of Waldorf’s Top of Iowa High School Writing Contest will be announced after Deeren’s reading.
