Biography
Dr. Reynolds earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from a small college in Iowa and continued her studies in the exercise and medicine discipline, earning a master's degree while working full-time as an athletic trainer. While she loved her time serving the athletic population, she also missed the classroom and her love of learning! She went back to earn her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in teaching and learning. She now gets to impart her joy of learning to students each semester. She enjoys teaching various classes at Waldorf, both residentially and online.
Dr. Reynolds joined Waldorf University in 2007. She was excited to return to the state of Iowa and to help grow and advance the university and the Wellness Department, which is now the Health Promotion and Exercise Science Department. She’s had fun watching so many different students thrive at our university and then become leaders in their communities.
Dr. Reynolds has a passion for outdoor adventures and pushing personal limits. Some of her experiences include hiking the Grand Canyon from hiking rim to rim, competing in a full Ironman triathlon, running a 100-mile ultramarathon, participating in multiple RAGBRAI cycling events...and raising two sons. In addition, she enjoys trail running, backpacking, kayaking, and reading.
