Biography
Dr. Reginald McCoy is passionate about healthcare accessibility, health equity, and transparency in healthcare practices. With a Doctor of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and dual Master's degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, Dr. McCoy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as the Director of Government Affairs from the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Chicago.
Throughout his career, which spans over twenty years, Dr. McCoy has held various positions in the healthcare industry, including Pharmacy Technician, 340B Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Adjunct Professor. These diverse experiences have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare system.
In his current role, Dr. McCoy is deeply committed to advocating for patient access to healthcare and promoting health equity. He actively engages in healthcare advocacy campaigns, securing capital funding and championing accessibility to healthcare for all. Recognizing the critical importance of behavioral health and maternal health awareness in delivering holistic healthcare, Dr. McCoy also dedicates his efforts to expanding these essential services.
Dr. McCoy's work involves navigating the intricate landscape of healthcare policies and governmental regulations to ensure that organizations can effectively serve the community's needs. By advocating for policies that promote equitable access to care, address disparities, and maximize resource utilization efficiency, he strives to make a tangible impact on healthcare accessibility and quality.
As an educator, Dr. McCoy shares his passion for healthcare and his extensive knowledge with students, inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. He believes in fostering a learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the data-driven economic principles that underpin healthcare systems.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. McCoy enjoys exploring new destinations through travel, trying out new restaurants and home improvement projects, attending music concerts, and spending quality time with family and friends.
