The Waldorf University Department of History, Political Science, and Geography offers a BA in History with two available majors: History and Political Science.

This program, with its emphasis on critical thinking, reading, and writing skills as well as its emphasis on global and cultural issues, will prepare the student for advanced academic work in graduate or law schools and for careers as teachers, lawyers, researchers, legal assistants, park service curators, interpreters, journalists, military officers, law enforcement officers, museum curators, business executive officers, pastors, theologians, and more.

Waldorf offers unique opportunities for internships and studies abroad. Waldorf history students have already secured or completed successful internships, some with pay, at places like the Iowa Governor's Office and various state parks. Several law firms will also be offering internships to Waldorf students interested in the legal profession.

"I chose Waldorf for many reasons ranging from the size of the college to the quality of education. I don’t think I could have made a better choice! The history department was top notch and really brought history alive for me. My experience at Waldorf enhanced my passion and love for both history and teaching. I am proud to say I graduated from Waldorf!"
