Public Relations Concentration

The concentration in public relations introduces students to the application of information gathering and dissemination as it relates to the field of fire science. Through this program, students develop the skills necessary to directly engage with diverse audiences and communities, which includes compelling courses on the power of persuasive communication, the keys to special event planning and the production of social media content.

  • Completion of the core curriculum and the curriculum for the major, totaling 120 credits
  • A grade of C or higher in all coursework in the major and, if applicable, in the concentration(s)
  • 2.00 cumulative grade point average for work completed at Waldorf
  • Minimum of 36 upper-division credit hours
