Dear Friends,

Bob Alsop is wearing a black suit over a blue and white plaid shirtIn 1998, I arrived in Forest City to teach English at a small two-year Lutheran College. A lot has changed since then. Waldorf University is now a four-year liberal arts institution offering associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. We have a vibrant fine arts program, competitive sports teams and thriving online academics.

But no matter how things change, some things will always stay the same. For more than 100 years, Waldorf has committed itself to outstanding academics, affordable tuition and an unwavering commitment to its students, on campus or online. We accomplish this by employing faculty and staff who are dedicated, going the extra mile to get our students excited about learning.

I’m often asked what gives Waldorf its “wow” factor. What is it that differentiates us from other colleges and universities? The answer is simple: it’s you. When you become a Waldorf student, you join a century-old legacy of community service, lifelong learning and devotion of faith. Here, lives are changed, memories are made and lifelong friendships are created.

I’m so happy to be here, and if you’re looking for an engaging, enlightening and life-changing experience, I think you’ll be happy here, too. Now is the perfect time to join the Waldorf family and together, we can build a brighter future. Welcome to Waldorf. We are Warriors!

Warmest Regards,
Robert A. Alsop, Ph.D.
