The Waldorf University Scholarship Day is an academic event for current high school seniors who meet eligibility requirements to compete for several scholarships, including up to full-tuition.

Eligibility

Students must meet one of the following criteria:

  • 3.25 cumulative GPA
  • Minimum 23 ACT/1130 SAT*(with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA)

*If you have not taken the ACT or SAT, please contact your Admission Counselor

Full-tuition scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Waldorf University to maintain their scholarship.

Participation

Students wishing to participate in Scholarship Day must be accepted to Waldorf University one week prior to the competition date. The following items are required to be admitted to the university:

Evaluation criteria

Essay Phase

Students will receive an essay prompt at the beginning of the session. Use of a dictionary/thesaurus is allowed. Students will be given 45 minutes to complete their essay. Subject clarity, sentence structure, and grammar within the essay will be taken into consideration.

Interview Phase

Students will individually meet with Waldorf faculty/staff. Interview questions will cover a range of topics including academic experiences, extracurricular involvement and more. We encourage students to consider presentation, sentence structure, body language and appearance.

Suggested Attire

Business casual attire is suggested. Please be comfortable, but we kindly ask you not to wear jeans.
