BISMARCK, N.D. - Waldorf infielder Brooke Hickey's remarkable display at the plate earned her the final NSAA Softball Player of the Week honor of the season.

Hickey's honor was based solely on her Saturday performance against Viterbo. In the Warriors doubleheader sweep, Hickey homered in each contest, drove in six runs over the two games and had an on-base percentage of .750. She also scored three runs and drew three walks.

Monday against Viterbo, Hickey proved she deserved the honor. In recording another doubleheader sweep of the V-Hawks, Hickey delivered the game-winning RBIs in a comeback win in Game 1. Her bases-clearing hit gave Waldorf a 9-7 lead after they fell behind 7-2. In the nightcap, Hickey smacked three extra-base hits (two doubles and a home run) as Waldorf came back from an 8-1 deficit to win 9-8. In the four-game series sweep, Hickey went 7-for-12 at the plate with three home runs and 12 RBI.

Waldorf next competes at the NSAA Tournament May 3-6 in Dickinson, North Dakota.
